I built a new house in Surfside where I installed reclaimed heart pine wood for my floors. Kent and the team at Low Country Flooring were recommended to me by my flooring supplier and we are beyond pleased! I had experience with hardwood flooring refinishing in our permanent home so I interviewed Kent to better understand his finishing process. He confirmed to me the right way to do the floors - four coats overall with two coats of Bona waterborne poly followed by two coats of Bona Traffic HD. Kent even corrected mis-information provided to me by the folks at Bona as it relates to a softer wood such as Heart Pine. Kent did a great job in responding to my phone calls, follow up on scheduling, and guiding me through specific details for finishing the entire floor. Most of all, his great team of craftsmen did simply a remarkable job on our floors. I found them incredibly organized and capable, with one gentleman on a larger sander for the main areas of each room, and two other experts on their hands and knees doing the perimeter sanding. Another great example of attention to detail is the way the team inspected every nail hole, and I mean every nail hole in the floor, and placed two part epoxy to cover up the nail hole and have it replicate the heart pine knots after finishing. In addition to the attention to detail, the crew agreed to work on both a Saturday and Sunday to help me meet my already late schedule. I told Kent at the end of the job to feel free to use my contact information as I would be honored to be a reference for Kent and his remarkable team. What a pleasure to work with Kent & his team at Low Country Floors. They answered all my questions throughout the process. They took great care of my home while tearing out tile, carpeting, and replacing areas with hardwood. They were so helpful in determining the best stain to use for my floors. I love the result! My floors are gorgeous and add value to my home. Highly recommend!
